​When sending a sick child to daycare, please remember that illnesses can be spread. It may interfere with my ability to care for your child and the other children in my care. If I feel that I cannot give a sick child the care they need without taking time away from other children, I will call and ask you pick up your child. Prompt pick up in this situation is needed.

Children who have vomited, have diarrhea, have a fever of 100 degrees or higher, or have a contagious illness must be kept home. They need to be symptom free for 72 hours before returning. I will notify you as soon as possible if any of these symptoms occur at childcare and you will need to make arrangements to have your child picked up as soon as possible. Days that your child misses due to illness, you are still required paid.(This includes days needed to quarentine due to covid-19).

** Please notify me within 24 hours if your child is diagnosed with a serious contagious illness. If you need me to give medication to your child, you must fill out a medication sheet. I will only give medication that is in the original container, with precise instructions and your child’s name on it.

** If my children or I become ill and I cannot provide care, I will notify you as soon as possible. If this occurs during childcare hours, you will be contacted and asked to make arrangements to have your child picked up. You are responsible for having back up childcare available. I’m allowed 5 paid sick days a year and can use at my discretion . After 5 days, within a 12 month period, you will not be charged for any other sick days that I close! The year runs Jan-Dec.
